Director of Finance

Supervises and directs the financial activities of the Hotel, safeguards the assets, and prepares all financial reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Serves as a financial advisor to Hotel Management and Ownership. Monitor and approve all sales, purchases, salaries, and expenses of the hotel. Analyze financial data of operations in order to educate and advise hotel management on the value and benefits of internal controls and maintaining an efficient operation. Assist and counsel all department heads in the interpretation of financial data and recommend courses of action to maximize profitability.

Prepare review, and present the Monthly P & L report. Prepare the monthly, three and six month projections and budgets throughout the year. Advise hotel management and owners of any major variances and the impact on the operation. Prepare forecasts and budgets as required (Annual, Revised Annual, Monthly, and/or on Owner’s requests). Develop and monitor internal controls to safeguard hotel assets. Maintain adequate internal control over revenues, expenses, assets and liabilities of the hotel. Maintained accounts according to GAAP and Uniform System of Accounts. Hire, train, and supervise department staff including coaching, counseling, and discipline.

Direct accounting staff to ensure accurate accounting and timely reporting of financial data to department heads, hotel management and owners in accordance with GAAP and owners guidelines. Ensure that all licenses, permits, and insurance policies are current and in compliance with local, state, and Federal laws. Monitor all contracts and agreements and advise hotel management of the terms, conditions and benefits. Assume cash management responsibilities, including preparation of statement of cash flow and, if necessary, statement of changes in financial position. Establish and audit all internal financial controls, including purchasing, cash handling and disbursements, inventories, hotel equipment, master keys, and personnel time records. Provide financial oversight of the capital expenditure process. Ensure completion of capital projects within established critical path and financial projections. Conduct post completion audits of capital projections

Sales & Marketing Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Sales & Marketing Coordinator position will support the sales team from an administrative perspective as well as assist the General Manager with any administrative support related needs.  The position supports the work of the sales and marketing team to better promote the hotel to potential clients.   They will assist the Director of Sales & Marketing with any marketing related materials, on property events, social media, collaborations, campaigns & promotion.  In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the supportive functions in other departments. The position will also provide administrative support to Fuego and Hotel Operations Team when needed will handle guest phone calls & general inquiries.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.  

  • Prior Hotel experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of the hotel structure / layout and how all departments interact.
  • Highly organized individual with strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of who will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to diffuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
  • Quantitative processing of data via office machine equipment, mathematical computations and analytical skills necessary to accurately determine and communicate financial, forecasting and other report related data and information
  • Proficiency in the use and operations of computer systems with the ability to navigate efficiently through Social Media, Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Delphi.fdc, OnQ
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, proposals, general correspondence and similar written materials.
  • Ability to complete a contract in compliance with all checklists, standards and hotel policies.
  • Interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with answering of telephone, using fax machines, guest response and maintaining sales files & customer data.

Front Desk

Assistant Front Desk Manager

The Assistant Front Desk Manager is responsible for assisting the Director of Front Office in administration and management of all Front Office Operations to ensure profitability, control costs and Brand quality standards.  Ensure guest satisfaction .  An AFOM monitors the Front Office employees to make sure all guests receive prompt and personal recognition. AFOM assists the Director and manages the team to take care of the front desk operation including guest registration, room assignments and check-out procedures.  Must be a team oriented individual with previous Hotel front office experience and be open to a flexible schedule that includes holidays and weekends.  

Front Desk Agent/Relief Night Audit

Responsible for performing a variety of customer service focused duties to facilitate a positive experience for our guests. Included in the Front Desk Agent’s responsibilities: checking-in and checking-out procedures, assisting guests by answering questions and offering recommendations. Meeting and exceeding guest expectations by problem solving any unexpected travel changes. The Front Desk Agents are a liaison between the guest and the hotel.  Qualifications: excellent communication skills both oral and written, Strong attention to detail, quick response time on all requests, exceptional multitasking skills and customer service.  Must be flexible with schedule and able to work both weekends, overnights and holidays.

Housekeeping

Housekeeping Supervisor

As a supervisor, you must get things done on time. Use your knowledge and experience to take preventive measures for the protection and comfort of guests, and the safety and security of associates. Oversee a diverse team of well-trained housekeepers. Use your practiced eye to ensure all guest and service areas are cleaned and turndown service delivered. Plan and schedule assignments and manage special requests. Respond to guest requests and concerns, attending to guest needs with prompt courtesy. Previous hotel experience required.

 Bilingual preferred, English is mandatory.

 

 

Room attendant

Clean all assigned guestrooms including dusting, making beds, removal of soiled linens, window cleaning. Replenishment of towels and anything else the room needs. Must use cleaning supplies properly. Must have excellent communication and organization skills, must work well with others and be reliable with the ability to focus on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.  Reports maintenance deficiencies in order to maintain rooms in compliance standards.  Must have flexible schedule and able to work both weekends and holidays.

 

Houseperson
